The collection consists of five letters and a photograph of Hayward. Includes: to Foster, 7 Mar., concerning updates to his Faust; to Marlay, 10 June, concerning his views of John Stuart Mill; to Slade, 2 July [1857?], about acting as counsel to Lord Lyndhurst's son-in-law; to Jeffrey, undated, asking about books; to H.G. Nicoll, 22 Nov. 1881, about his writing. Also, signed cabinet photograph, with a life of Hayward handwritten on the verso.
